DSC encryption is suited for legal documents, e-commerce papers, and distributing documents containing highly confidential information. The encrypted certificate exists independently.

Encrypt and Sign:

The Sign & Encrypt DSC allows for both signing and encrypting. It is suitable for users who want to maintain the confidentiality of shared information and authenticate it. It is utilized to send government applications and forms.

CLASSES OF DSC

There are three different types of digital signature certifications.

Class 1:

Certificates are used to verify that the user’s name and email address from the clearly defined subject is present in the certifying authority’s database. They are given out to the individual/private subscribers.

Class 2:

These are given to directors and signatories of companies to facilitate electronic filing with the Registrar of Companies (ROC). When submitting returns with the ROC, persons who must manually sign documents must hold a Class 2 certificate.

Note: The certifying authority have stopped issuing certificates for classes 1 and 2.

Class 3:

These certificates are required to participate in and place bids in online auctions and tenders conducted throughout India. A Class 3 digital signature certificate is required for suppliers wanting to participate in online tenders.
